PRODUCTION PLANNER & PROCESS ANALYST (M/W)

As a production planner & process analyst you have a dual role within the operations department. On the one hand, as a production planner, you support the planning manager in drawing up the planning for the corrugated cardboard machine and the various finishing machines. On the other hand, as a process analyst you are responsible for the processes & procedures within the operations department.

Purpose of the position

Pacapime has an extensive and modern machine park: a corrugated cardboard machine for the production of corrugated cardboard and several finishing machines for printing (Flexo printing) and punching (flat die-cutting and rotary die-cutting) of the corrugated cardboard.
As a production planner & process analyst you have a dual role within the operations department. On the one hand, as a production planner, you support the planning manager in drawing up the planning for the corrugated cardboard machine and the various finishing machines. On the other hand, as a process analyst you are responsible for the processes & procedures within the operations department.

Responsibilities

Production Planner

  • Preparation of the production planning (in OMP planning system) for the corrugated board machine & the finishing machines, taking into account various factors such as customer needs, capacity of the production lines…
  • Communication of the planning to the internal services: team manager, sales…
  • Follow up on the day-to-day implementation of the planning & adjust if necessary (e.g. unexpected breakdowns)
  • Follow up operation OMP planning system
  • Mapping the effective production and deviations from the original planning and communicating this on a regular basis to the management
  • Actively participate in improvement initiatives within the planning department
  • Follow up the paper stock and place the necessary orders on that basis with the various suppliers

Process Analyst

  • Mapping & documenting the various processes within operations
  • Elaboration of procedures & work instructions for the operations department
  • Communicating the applicable procedures & processes within operations
  • Actively search for process & procedure optimisations, aiming for more efficient operation within production, ‘workable’ processes for operators & technicians and taking into account the applicable safety guidelines
  • Coordinating the implementation of new processes and procedures
  • Supporting the team leader in following up the correct implementation of the applicable processes & procedures
  • Responsible and first point of contact for the processes within operations
  • Respect and apply the BRC applicable quality, environmental and safety rules

Qualification Criteria & Job Requirements

  • You have a bachelor’s degree. Experience as a planner and/or process analyst is a plus.
  • You are stress resistant and flexible
  • You have strong analytical skills
  • you are solution-oriented and you approach things pragmatically
  • a critical attitude and great sense of initiative to improve processes & working methods
  • You can work independently and take initiative. You work in a structured way, you complete matters and you report clearly. You proactively provide the necessary feedback and input to your discussion partners and manager
  • you have good communication skills
  • you take responsibility for your actions
  • bilingual both spoken and written: Dutch & French
